If you are a teacher, get this . . . now!

I graduated from seminary, but didn't know how to teach the information I had learned. Dr. Wilkinson has outdone himself with the 7 Laws of the Learner. If you want to teach so that your students will walk out of your class knowing how to apply what you've taught to their life, this is a must. Don't just teach information -- teach people what to do with it.

We have been taught how to teach incorrectly. This book gives us the basic principles necessary to teach, not only Sunday school, but any subject that someone needs to learn. These principles are timeless and foundational to every classroom setting.

Three years ago, our church of about 1,000 set about to reinvent itself within our Christian Education department. At about 26,000 feet flying somewhere over Arizona, I was shaken while reading it for the first time. It shocked me into realizing how really boring many teachers can communicate without anyone learning anything...always pushing content while omitting any application or creativity to ensure learning. These principles revitalized my own teaching, and I have used it as our core curriculum for the 15 teachers we have in our education department. Our teachers have come up with some great classes as well as creative ideas in their professional/occupational lives as a result of this book.

Going on year three, we stand by this book as the best-of-class, and continue using its principles weekly. We now have a growing and alive ministry, and can honestly say this book began it all. This book is a "must" if you want to change lives vs. "cover" the material.

Geralin has been a professional organizer since 2002. It's abundantly apparent in this book that she knows her stuff. The book is full of bite-sized information and suggestions for every area in the house. It's richly illustrated, making it really appealing to read and very accessible. The information in the book is a wonderful combination of practical and aspirational. She covers things that are in every home (like junk drawers) to things that I probably could only aspire to (a converted armoire-style storage cabinet with custom-made drawers to act as a pantry)... In the book, Geralin offers specific suggestions on decluttering, as well as fantastic organizing and storage tips. So if you're not dealing with a whole lot of clutter but just want to fine-tune your organizing, you'll love this. If you are dealing with clutter, it'll be a godsend. I am a professional organizer by trade so it is hard to be impressed by organizing books anymore as I have read them all, but this one is fantastic! The layout is simple and easy to read. The tips and ideas are also simple and to the point. The photos are a perfect match to the concepts being discussed but don't seem impossible to achieve. Overall very well done.

I enjoy TV shows

I enjoy TV shows, blogs, magazines, and books on home decorating and organizing. I’m a tip junkie and always appreciate any type of organizing advice that I can apply to my life. I ordered this book because I’ve seen Geralin Thomas’s methodical systems of decluttering and organizing homes on TV and in magazines. The photos are excellent and the illustrations and lists are helpful. The book is written in a voice that is friendly, not preachy plus, it contains a lot of good advice; the maintenance, motivation, and tiny task sections were my favorite sections.

Learn from the Best - Billy Gibbons!!

This a great book! It is slam full of Texas Blues magic. Buy it! You'll never regret it! Billy Gibbons is the master. Be advised however... There are a few spots in the tunes that are not exactly the easiest way to achieve the riff. Here's a hint: When the spread is too great there must be another way. Your thumb is your friend. ;)

Be careful with Kindle orders of this type of book.

Love the book, great songs, blah, blah, blah.

BE CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING KINDLE BOOKS OF THIS TYPE.

The print is so f'ing small one needs a magnifying glass to see it. And no the print does not enlarge enough to get past bad printing .
By this I mean, if the letters and numbers are not printed clearly, one may not be able to make out all of the nomenclature regardless of how enlarged the print is.

****LOOK****
One trick that may help is to use the "one column only" mode.

right click on Kindle page. At bottom left of page one will see an icon that looks like this..Aa..(capital a next to small case a) click on Aa icon and a "View Options" box will appear. From there one may enlarge the font and/or activate the "one column only" function. This is a big help in being able to see the TAB/sheet music.
